Shanghai Summer

Not gonna lie….summer in Shanghai is my least favorite thing in the world. The heat and humidity are oppressive…there’s almost never a breeze and there are tons of bugs! As of last week, summer has officially arrived in Shanghai and my everything is sweating. I already can’t wait for this to be over, but unfortunately I know it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Mandarin Community’s Lu Laoshi made a video lesson for you about “itchy hands” where she talks about the literal meaning of this phrase (ie summer time mosquitos) and the figurative meaning. This is a great set of phrases to help make your Chinese sound more authentic. If you’ve got an idea for a video lesson, please let us know!
